There is an interesting article here dealing with hazardous materials on job sites. I commented that it’s more of a challenge for small contractors to deal with this issue because of the limitations of understanding some of the materials they deal with.

If they are dealing with a new substance that they haven’t dealt with before, ensuring that they’ve estimated the cost of handling the material from is a challenge. New materials are appearing every day and the small contractor, if he or she wants to be using the latest and best materials has an obligation to keep up with the requirements for handling the materials.
