I disagree totally with that position. Construction pros, contractors, architects, etc., have the experience and construction knowledge to effectively use construction estimating software to figure the costs for a project. That’s because they know what pieces are required to support what functions. The details of a construction project can make a substantial difference in the completed cost of the project.

In addition, they, construction pros, are familiar with local codes that may have a substantial effect on the cost of a project.

A non-construction pro usually would not have the knowledge required to effectively use construction estimating software.
